The Wych Elm Holiday Bungalow Annexe has been designed specifically to provide you with a relaxing South Lakeland, Cumbrian holiday.
The accommodation, which sleeps four people, offers a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a spacious lounge, a garden room, a fully fitted kitchen, and a bathroom with bath, toilet and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a microwave oven, gas cooker, fridge, work-top freezer, and a washing machine. Both the bedrooms also have a handy washbasin and all our beds are fitted with cosy electric under-blankets to keep you snug when the weather is chilly.
The accommodation includes extra wide doorways, which are suitable for wheelchair access, the lounge, kitchen and bedrooms are all situated on one level, and there are assistance rails in the bathroom.
Garden and Views
It also offers a private garden with seating, allowing you to relax and dine whilst enjoying the views and sunsets over the South Lakeland fells.
The garden and decking have elevated views of the Cumbrian countryside, our fields, stables, horse arena, fishing lake and woodland are all accessible to our visitors.
All our holiday makers are welcome to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, walks around the lake and small woodland. You might see a visiting otter or heron, and many other birds and species of wildlife.
On certain days historic steam trains can be seen from the terrace or garden room, as they pass by on the West Coast Mainline.
For animal lovers, well-behaved pets are always welcome.
Location
Wych Elm is approximately 25 minutes drive from Bowness on Windermere, in the Lake District National Park (now a UNESCO World Heritage site), and from the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Historic Kendal and Lancaster are both approximately 20 minutes drive away, and Blackpool with its Pleasure Beach and Zoo are less than an hour away.
Our accommodation is in high demand during peak holiday season so please book early to avoid disappointment. We also offer short-breaks during the off-season (October-February).
